    Language is something that is very important for human life. Language means communication, and without language one cannot communicate with others. In the current era of globalization, English seems to have become a compulsory ability that must be possessed by students, students or professionals. Because English is an international language which means that in communicating internationally we must use English. Not mastering English means being unable to communicate with the international community. In addition, most quality literature uses English and has not been translated into Indonesian.

    But there are still many people who do not realize the importance of English. They consider English difficult and not important for their lives. Like those who work in the mechanical field, they do not use English directly so they are reluctant to learn English. There is also a reason that they are "in love with Indonesian", however, not necessarily their Indonesian is good. Another reason they will be seen as arrogant when using English in their daily lives.English is an international language, and in the age of globalization we are now required to use English. Young people should now learn English so that they are not left behind from other nations.

    The most common factor is English is an international language. In order to communicate with people of different cultural and national backgrounds, English is the main choice that is often used in communication. Examples that are easily seen are in the world of tourism. If you want to travel to another country, English is the most standard language that we must master.

    Another example we can see in the world of aviation and shipping. Here, English is the official language used by all aircraft and ships that fly and sail abroad / other countries. It is not possible for a pilot or captain to memorize all the languages ​​in the world / in the country to be addressed, so English is used as a neutral language.

    Another factor is that the information in the world is mostly published in English. For writers, to get a broad market, they publish books in English. Similar to magazines, newspapers, television broadcasts, and the internet, most use English. Even if there are writings or books that use non-English languages, it will definitely be directly translated into English. Research results from world-renowned universities are also published in English, so Indonesians who can speak English will easily be able to broaden their horizons.

    Based on the above factors, the knowledge of English for the development of an individual in the country of Indonesia becomes an inevitable matter. Like it or not, this one subject is something that every Indonesian person needs to learn. Even if you are not sure you will get the opportunity to go abroad, this knowledge is still needed too. At a minimum, you do not need to be dazed when watching foreign news broadcasts because there is no translation at the bottom of the television screen or confused when reading an electronic manual that is only printed in English.

    English is the world language and is also widely used on the internet. Almost every language book has been translated into the English version. So it's easy to get world information if you know English.

    English is important to me because English is an international language. We must prepare ourselves for the era of globalization. At present, many companies recruit their employees with ability tests in English. We can get more and more information on the Internet, but 80% of information on the Internet uses English. I've heard that intelligent people are people who can use certain languages.
